If you have ever bought the dry scalloped potato box mixes you will know approximately how many to use when you cook with them.
When you go to make scalloped potatoes you just put in casserole with your onion and any meat you like and spices , then you can take 1 can of mushroom soup and 1 1/2 cans water or milk and our over the dry potatoes (should be enough to cover by 1/2 inch - you can add more milk if not covered) or you can make your own white sauce recipe.
